Agreement for the CSA Member

I commit to membership in the Early Girl Farm CSA for the spring/summer 2023 season. I understand that as a member of this CSA I am joining with the farmers in both the risk (crop production failure, disease, bad weather, etc) and benefits (bountiful crops, recipes, variety, direct relationship with the farmer, and exclusive access to farm amenities) associated with farming.

I understand that my share will vary from week to week and that there is no guarantee of the amounts or content of my share. I commit to supporting the farm through timely payments and clear communications with Early Girl Farm and it’s associates.

I understand that any week I don’t pick up my share, my food will be donated to a local pantry when possible or will be returned to the earth to become compost.

In consideration of my participation as a shareholder in the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program for the 2023 season conducted by Early Girl Farm located at 279 South Country Road at the intersection of Woodland Avenue, in Brookhaven, NY, I hereby release, on behalf of myself, my estate, the guests that could accompany me, my heirs and assigns, Early Girl Farm and Mama Farm, its officers, employees, agents, and volunteers, from any and all claims, liability, loss, damage, or cost that may arise from or in any way related to my participation in this program, including but not limited to personal injury or death.

I understand that there are potential hazards on the farm including bee stings and farm animal-related injuries, and in the use of equipment on the farm, and I assume all responsibility, personal and financial, for any accident or other injury or loss arising from or in any way .
